Hotlanta

We have been on the road quite a bit lately (and it will continue for the next month). We've been to Atlanta twice in the past 2 weeks and Grace has been such a little trooper. She has done a great job with the busy days visiting friends and family and seems to love sleeping in her Pack 'n Play. Here are some highlights from our past 2 weeks:

Grace loved meeting and spending lots of time with the Rathmann girls. Here are Lauren and Hailey (Faith was napping) playing with Gracie:

Miss Lauren was so good at holding Grace! She'll be a great momma someday :)

Our Peanut next to another Peanut in Dothan, Alabama
Grace's first carousel ride. My arms were killing since I forgot carousel horses go up and down, so trying to hold an 11-12 pound baby was not easy on these out of shape arms of mine.

At the Grey's house in Alpharetta, GA
Grace loves Cindy and John (and Bear too!)

Tummy time in our hotel room

Grace got to meet Rob and Lizeth! And we ate Bison burgers at Ted Turner's Montana Grill...yummy!

Next on the travel agenda...Montgomery, Alabama (NOT the most exciting place)...and then Seattle (the MOST exciting place!).

This video was taken during Grace's first week when all of her grandparents were visiting as well as her Auntie Em (the camera lady) and Uncle Jason...

Dad Life

What Michael has to look forward to...

2 Months Old!

I can't believe you are 2 months Grace! Wow how the time has flown. Here are a few of my favorite things that you do...
  • You love to smile...especially in the morning...and especially at your daddy.
  • You coo and make lots of cute noises and love when we make high pitched squeaky sounds.
  • You absolutely love the Baby Bjorn and could probably stay in it all day if we let you.
  • You are a huge fan of tummy on tummy...especially on your dad's tummy. You do not like tummy time on your play mat as much, but you can keep your head up by yourself, push yourself up with your arms, and you are starting to roll over from your back to your stomach. You're a strong wee woman!
  • You have your daddy's mouth and eye shape. And you have your mommy's hair color when she was a baby and flowers in your eyes like she does.
  • You are sleeping great during the night (still waking up once or twice to feed, but giving me between 3-6 hours to sleep in between).
  • You love your swing and sleep many hours during the day in it.
  • You can't sleep soundly without being swaddled up tight.
  • You love when we go out to dinner. You usually are quiet and just look around at all the people and new things. You're definitely social like your mom.
  • Your hair is finally growing back after you lost the majority of it (except for the very back of your head) and looked like an old man or a monk :)
  • You love to Skype with your grandma Ducky and Gampy and see all of the doggies they have...I think you especially love Gus Gus who is your mommy's dog that she bequeathed to your grandparents.
  • You are really cranky at night (between 5-8pm)! You definitely fight going to sleep.
  • You absolutely love your pacifier/binky. Somebody referred to it as a "cork", which is a very accurate term since you become quiet and relaxed right after we put it in your mouth.
  • You are growing up so fast. We found out at your pediatrician appointment this morning that you weigh 10 lbs 12 oz (50th percentile) and you are 22.5 inches long (58th percentile).
We love you Grace and thank God for blessing us with you! We are truly blessed and honored to be your parents.

Here is a little video of your first 2 months:

Pool Time

Grace loved laying by the pool this weekend. She dipped her feet in the pool for the first time...but I need to buy her the Little Swimmers diapers before she gets fully immersed in the water (for obvious reasons). :)

Fourth of July

Happy Birthday America! Happy Birthday MacBro!
