The McLain Train: August 2011

We had a wonderful time with the Babsons (who were like my second family when I lived in Massachusetts). Annisquam is the coolest seaside village and it is a truly relaxing vacation at Camp Babo. We play lots of tennis, walk on the beach, sit on rocking chairs on their wrap around porch while watching the sunset, play rockball, take boat rides, and swim in the quarry.

TashToosh! It was so great to spend time with my dear friend Natasha. She is such a gorgeous woman and one of the most loving people I know.

Another one of Grace's favorite purses was the silverware holder from the dishwasher.

We spent our 3rd anniversary revisiting some of our favorite spots in the North Shore. We ate dinner at Siam Delight and then had ice cream at Cherry Farms Creamery (which was where we went on our very first date on September 8, 2007).

Our appetites for ice cream are not as strong now as they were on our first date. We had 3 scoops each on our first date, and almost 4 years later, we both ordered kid sizes (which are still 2 huge scoops each!).

Longwood Tennis Club...one of the oldest tennis clubs in the US. Gampy and Babo played in a fun tournament with the grounds crew, but unfortunately got rained out 45 minutes into play.

Mr. Bob! It was so wonderful to see Mr. Bob again. He is so special to both Michael and I and we felt so honored for Grace to be able to meet him. His house holds a lot of memories for us since this is where Michael lived while we were dating and engaged. Plus, we got engaged in his backyard!
