I received some GREAT news last week...my brother (Mac) and sister-in-law (Kaitlyn) are expecting! They are due with Baby Biscuit on December 5. I'm so excited for Peanut to have a cousin so close in age! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Goodeve!

Week 39
Only 12 more days until Baby McLain's due date! I am sooooo hoping for an early arrival...or right on time...but I am also coming to a peace about the possibility of being overdue. I want to be patient and trust that Peanut will pop out when the time is right. But I have definitely entered that time I've heard about when a pregnant woman wants the baby out of her belly and in her arms instead. I have to pee every hour when I'm supposed to be sleeping (7 times last night!) and have constant Braxton Hicks contractions. I am also starting to get sharp shooting pains in my pelvis, hips, back, and groin. I'm hoping these are all signs that labor is around the corner (even if that means 2-3 weeks away). It's just amazing to me that I'm going to have a little baby (that is MINE) in a matter of days or weeks!

Week 38
I had an ultrasound at the end of last week and the baby is in perfect position (head down and facing my spine)! Peanut was weighing in at 6 lbs 12 oz. and even has hair!!!
And I found out that my doctor (who is due one week after me) is going to be induced on May 8th. She is giving me the option to be induced in the beginning of May so that she can deliever me...but we've decided we'd rather go the au natural way and wait for labor to begin when it's the right time. It's definitely tempting since it would be convenient to know the exact day my baby is going to be born, but I want God to choose Peanut's birthday rather than me (but if I'm over a week late, I will be happy to be induced!). And I'm not that concerned that my doctor may not deliver me since there are a few other doctors in the practice that will be prepared to take over if need be. But hopefully I'll come early!
Here is one of my new favorite baby gifts sent all the way from Northern Ireland from my dear friend Sharon McClaughlin. Thanks wee woman!

Week 37
I can't believe I'll be full term at the end of this week! Crazy! Peanut could come any day now. We are definitely ready! The baby seems ready too. I swear Peanut gets into boxing matches in the middle of the night and then is thirsty so he/she drinks amniotic fluid too fast which results in multiple fits of the hiccups. Such a funny and squished baby!
And I have an ultrasound at my appointment tomorrow to confirm that the baby's head is down. My doctor couldn't tell 100%, so she just wants to make sure. I'm excited to take a peek at Peanut again! It has been 10 weeks since our 4D ultrasound and the baby has more than doubled in weight...what a chubby nugget!

Week 36
Baby McLain is approximately 6 pounds now! I can't believe the baby will be considered full term in 2 weeks...Michael and I are ready (and will be excited) if Peanut decides to come before the due date!!! But God knows the perfect time when baby is ready to make his/her arrival :)
We had a fun Easter weekend visiting Michael's parents again in Dothan. All of the beautiful Southern flowers are in full bloom (dogwoods, azaleas, magnolias) and Spring is definitely here. I love this time of year in Alabama...but the worst time of year is right around the corner...June-September = HOT, HUMID, GROSS!!!
It looks like I ate a giant basketball for Easter!
