The McLain Train is Moving to Atlanta...Choo Choo!

We found out a few weeks ago that Michael is being transferred to Atlanta. Here we come big city, traffic jams, Trader Joes, Costco, more than 2 seasons (Mobile had Summer and a little big of Fall...Atlanta has at least 3 of the 4 seasons!), and non-flat terrain. This is all happening so fast. We are driving back to Mobile this weekend, then packing up next week, and then moving to corporate housing in Atlanta for 2 months while we look for a home. We are definitely excited for what God has in store for us in this new city!
Here are a few photos of our most recent Atlanta trip:

Grace and Sam Hall reunite! The Halls just moved to the Atlanta area too, so we are excited to have more good friends living nearby!!!

Kaitlyn's Baby Shower

We threw a baby shower for Kaitlyn while I was home. She looks so cute with her baby bump and looks absolutely gorgeous with her pregnancy glow. Grace is so excited to have a cousin and I'm so excited to be an Aunt for the first time!!!

Grace loved playing with Annalise and Danika.
This sweater was originally knitted by my grandma (Monkey) for me when I was a baby. Then it was handed down to all of the cousins and re-gifted to baby Biscuit. It's so cute!!!

Grace tried on baby Biscuit's hat that Aunt Lollie knit...she looked like a little beansprout!

Husky Soccer!

On October 8 we went to the University of Washington Women's Soccer game to cheer on my old team. My coaches had invited my entire 2000 team back to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the Pac-10 championship we won my senior year. Eight of us were there and it was so great to see some of my former teammates again. And it was awesome to see Lesle and Amy (my coaches) again too. It was fun to bring Grace to the field that I spent 4 years of my life playing on. It feels like a different life since I've been so far removed from soccer for so many years now. But the memories came flooding back and it really made me appreciate how blessed I've been to play on such a great team and be mentored/coached by such amazing women.
Oh, and the Huskies beat Arizona 4-1. GO, FIGHT, WIN DAWGS!!!
Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip Cookie...yummmmm
Sorry Grace, no solid food for you yet!

Birthday Dinner

My parents flew Grace and I back to Seattle for a few reasons:
1) They wanted to see Grace
2) They wanted to see me (???)
3) Kaitlyn's baby shower
4) Husky Soccer 2000 Team Commemoration
5) My birthday
So we celebrated my 31st birthday at the Melting Pot in Bellevue. Boy was it good! Spinach-Artichoke-Cheese fondue, Cheddar Cheese-Beer fondue, Smores fondue, and Chocolate-Peanut Butter fondue = AMAZING...and a very full belly.
Grace enjoyed her first fondue experience.
Yes, these are my weird siblings.
Can you tell where we got our weirdness from?
Debbie/Ducky is the only normal one in the family.
Crazy eyes...the weirdness is rubbing off on her already.
Yes, I know I'm weird too.
Gampy is so bored.
Weird.
Weirder.
Weirdest.
Whatchu talking about?
I take it back...this is the weirdest.
So proud of his weird self.
