First Road Trip

This weekend was Grace's first road trip to her grandparents house (3 hours away). She had so much fun sleeping, smiling, and singing!

Grace's Dedication

Grace was dedicated on Sunday at Michael's parents church in Dothan, AL. She looked so pretty in her dress that her Grandma Linda gave her. Pastor John D. spoke and prayed beautiful words over her and she was so calm and only cried when he handed her back to Michael after the dedication was finished! Thank you everyone at New Covenant Community Church!!! You are all so loving and we thank you for all of your prayers for Grace :)

On her way to church!

When Gracie Met Sam

We visited Michael's hometown this weekend to see his parents and our friends Jason and Claudia Hall who just had a baby (Sam) who was born 8 days before Grace. Sam is so cute and has the cutest soft raspy cry...very different from Grace's loud screams! Grace was quite smitten with Sam as you can tell in the photos :)

Getting chubbier by the day!

Here are some photos & videos of Grace's 5th and 6th weeks:

Grace loves her daddy...she especially loves laying on his chest and falling asleep!

Happy girl!

Auntie Reee Comes to Visit

Grace's Auntie Reee (a.k.a. my best friend Rachael) came to visit this past week! We had so much fun hanging out, watching movies, drinking iced lattes, reminiscing, laughing, snuggling with Grace, looking for armadillos and alligators, and eating lots of good ol' Southern cooking. We wish Rach lived closer and could come visit everyday! Miss you already Reee!

Eating at Lambert's Cafe ("Home of the Throwed Rolls"...yes, they do throw yeast rolls from across the room...and yes, those really are the size of the drinks they serve!)

Looking for scary gators at Alligator Alley

Eating at LuLu's Beach Cafe (Lucy Buffett (the owner) is Jimmy Buffett's sister)

Grace loves her Auntie Reee :)

Strolling around Bellingrath Estate & Gardens (it was approx. 95 degrees with A LOT of humidity...Grace wasn't a happy camper)

5 Weeks

Grace just had her 1 month pediatrician appointment today and she is a healthy little munchkin. We had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago when one of her newborn screening tests came back positive for a rare disorder called galactosemia. She had to be retested and we found out today that the results came back normal...hooray! We will find out 100% sure on Wednesday when the lab results come back, but it looks like Grace is just fine. She weighs 9 lbs 14 oz (50th percentile), 21.5 inches long (50th percentile), and has a head circumference of 15.5 inches (75th percentile). She is starting to smirk/smile and she even looked at herself in the mirror today. It's so much fun to watch her grow. She's getting big so fast!

(Thanks Regina and Ian for the cute clothes!)

MaR MaR & Denie's Visit

It was so much fun to have my dear friends Andene and Mary come and visit us the past few days. We already miss them! Grace loves her aunties sooooo much. We had fun chatting, exploring Fairhope, buying cute hats and consignment store clothes, and eating good food (shrimp and grits...yummy!). I'm so thankful to God for blessing me with great friends :)
