Gampy & Ducky's Visit

Grant and Debbie (a.k.a. Gampy & Ducky) visited us for 10 days and boy did we have fun (especially Grace).
Celebrating my birthday at Ted's Montana Grill.

Grace calls Grantpa "Baby", which we think is because of the "py" at the end of Gampy. And a few times it sounded like she called him "Dude". She can't really say "Ducky" either, but she tries and it usually comes out as "Dee". Pretty cute!

Grace and her boyfriend Keenan. She is usually a little timid around men, but not around Keenan. Either she has a crush on him or she knows he's a cop and trusts he'll keep her safe.

Grace, Keenan and CiCi.

Drove up to Chattanooga, TN so my parents could see what an amazing little city it is. Grace had a blast at the Coolidge Park water fountain again (twice in 2 weeks!).

She had no fear this time around and went straight towards the water as soon as her bathing suit was on.

We were having a bit of an Indian Summer day...about 75-80 degrees.

Drenched Baby Lady.

Carousel time!

Poseurs.

Grace's first taste of ice cream. We've offered it to her several times before, but she always refused...until I offered her Ben & Jerry's (above). What can I say, the kid has good taste!

Dinner with the Wellborns at Pucketts in downtown Franklin, TN.

At Andrew Jackson's Hermitage (plantation) in Nashville.

Grace loved looking at the horses.

Trying to make a horse face (?).

Grace making her "ugly" face.

The slave house at The Hermitage.

Gampy and Ducky bought Grace her very own Southern Belle doll. Grace couldn't stop hugging it!

The Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN. This home has an amazing history. The family allowed their house to be used as a hospital after one of the bloodiest Civil War battles (The Battle of Franklin), which injured or killed over 10,000 Union and Confederate soldiers. The family even buried most of the soldiers who died on their land. Pretty amazing...and sad.

Grace got an early Christmas present from Ducky and Gampy...an Itty Bitty Baby from The American Girl store. We're hoping it will help her with being gentle before the real baby sister or brother arrives in April.

Thanks for the fun trip Grantpa and Debs! We miss you already!!!
